Wednesday Whining...

Well even if we did get yummy treats last Wednesday on My Mummy's Birthday, this one saw us starved for 90 squillion hours and then dragged off to the vets for a dental... How come us boys had to suffer and those lucky girls gotted to stay at home?! It's not fair Mummy, they'ze got stinky breath too, I knows 'cause I've occasionally kissed them both... However it's me and Tigmut'hep that's been manhandled and traumatized!

I'll have you know that Hubert (the vet) stole one of my teeths and 3 of Tigs teeth too, so iffen I see him wearing one of those necklaces with teeth on it, I'z going to have mine back thank you very much! Oh and what's this about having to take meds for 10 days now? Oh well at least I only have to take meds once a day, where as Tigmut'hep has to suffer one in the morning and one at night for 10 days... At least I have something to feel smug about! ;) Well that and I only hadded to have 1 tooth out and had almost no yucky stuff that needed scraping off... :)

Fr"eye"day

Honestly, what is it with this time of year and my eyes? Yep, I've gone and got myself an eye infection once more... :( It's not a bad one like last year at least and Mummy says I only need to have the drops in for a few more days now as it's clearing up, but it's just not fair! So ok maybe I don't wash my paws as much as I should before rubbing my eyes, but I don't deserve a week of drops in the eye or worse yet a ride in the PTU and a visit to the VET! Oh no not me, I'm a good boy...

Well at least Mummy'd arranged for it to be a Lady Vet, and one who appreciated my good looks and superior character. In fact the only thing wrong with her, was the fact that she hasn't learnt to talk Abyssinian, so she couldn't understand me when I told her to get her great big pink paws off of my gorgeous sorrel furs! But she did make the examination quick and of course My Mummy was by my side the whole time, so it's a trauma I will get over in time... well ok will enough treats applied! ;) Anyway Sue the receptionist is well on her way to understanding quite a bit of Abyssinian and fully understood me when I told Mummy that she could think again if she thought I'd co-operate when it came to drop application time. Nope I wasn't going to give in to her bribary, not no way... So other than my itchy eye and the nasty drops, I've been doing rather well this week with 24/7 access to the bed and lots of yummy treats, including some ducky jerky for kitties! :)

Oh well off to claim some more treats as I gather I'm needed for another round of torture and the application of a medicated drop to my right eye... Then I think I'll have a nap in the bed with my 'sis before lunch!

Just remember Mummy I'm not going back to the Lady Vet or any Vet for that matter, even if the Lady Vet comes from High River, AB and knows a lot of the places you used to live in!

Saturday scoff...

It seems my appetite has come back a little bit! :) I seems I've been worrying Mummy for the past 2 days over how little I've been eating. She was starting to think the pink yuck wasn't working and she was torturing me for nothing and making my tummy upset in the process! It's good to make your human worry once in a while, otherwise you don't get the right level of fussing, worship and attention - what's more you don't get it all on your terms! ;) So after making her worry about me for a bit I decided I was hungry this morning and ate my breakfast like a good cat! :) Then I ate part of Tigmut'hep's breakfast as it looked good, then the second Isis walked away from her bowl I cleaned her leftovers up too! ;) I think I worried Mummy for a bit making her think I might not stop eating now I'd started again, or maybe she thought I'd eat until my belly sploded! ;) But now I'm feeling kinda full and sleepy, so I'll take myself off to my fave spot under the dining room table and have a peaceful nap - it's my fave spot as I never miss a meal when I sleep there! ;)

Oh yes and I finked it was a good idea to take my pink ick without applying the claws to Mummy or Dad again today as they're the ones who can open my food pouches for me and surely it's about time for my lunch... ;)

Waaaa Wednesday...

Ok, so I've moaned my guts out regarding Mummy's driving and seen Sally vet again (though this time with Misty, Nana and the boy) and not in the middle of the night either - after all a cat does need his beauty sleep! ;)

Sally vet forgot to praise my character and good looks this time, but after a swift look at my throat told Mummy I'd obviously been moaning about her driving too much! She says it's all horrid and red and that I need to take auntybiotics like Isis, though taking my sore throat and character into consideration she's given Mummy medicine drops to give me twice a day and they can go in my food as long as I promise to eat it all myself like a good cat! :)

Mummy decided to give me a little of my fave chicken gravy to help make my dinner slip down my throat better, along with some tuna stinky goodness! :) Boy is it good and stinky - 'cause it made Mummy feel all icky, only the really good stuff does that to her! ;) She mixed my medicine in with that and honestly it didn't half taste good, so I've already scoffed almost all of it - just saving about a teaspoon full for a late night snack. Though Mummy's picked up this little morsel of goodness and hidden it from my 'sis and Tigmut'hep as it has a little of my meds in it. Looks like I'll be getting a proper breakfast along with Isis for the next week or so! :)

It just goes to show being sick can have it's perks! ;) One whole extra meal of stinky goodness a day and all I needed to do was get myself a sore throat... :)

PS: Misty dog is doing better too, so Nana's all happy! :)
