Thinking and Thankful Thursday...

Well what is there to think about or be thankful for this week other than new life in the form of Isis new and very wonderful 'ickel baby kittens and My Marie's gorgeous little blurpy sister Evangeline?!

This is a photo of little Evie shortly after birth, isn't she just the sweetest little pink bundle of joy?!

Ok, so I'm a big soft sort of Mancat who simply adores babies and kittens not forgetting My Marie and My Mummy of course! ;)

Now I have the added pleasure of showing you all the kittens close up! :) Here is my new nephew known as "Boy" at the moment, he's a feisty lad even if he has little sense of direction - what with his making it into the world bottom first! ;)

Then came Big Girl "BG", by far the biggest of the kittens and never late for dinner - in fact she's now over 160g's at just over 60 hrs old! I must say I do wonder how big she'll be when she's all grown up?! ;)

Finally Little Girl "LG" arrived, she's the smallest kitten of the litter and in fact the smallest kitten Isis has had so far. However she's just as feisty as either of the others and has been gaining weight just as fast as her siblings. LG also has a good set of ear tufts already!

All in all they're a wonderful litter of 'ickle baby kittens and Isis is duly proud of her achievement, however she's not very willing to share her food with me at the moment... I find this most unladycat like even if My Mummy says I should let her eat in peace, sometimes even My Mummy seems to forget that Isis might have something to eat that I'd like too! Well I am her brother and as such she should share everything with me, well ok not the labour pains, but the good food is something I'm always happy to share with anykitty! ;)

Thinking Thursday....

Wow, I can't believe it's Thursday again already! This last week seems to have whizzed by whilst my sister's belly has ballooned... My Mummy's now purrty sure that there'll be more than 4 kittens hidden in there this time round, I guess this is kinda good as My Mummy says I can pick the purrtiest Niece from amongst the girls Isis has this time round and she can stay with us forever and ever! :) You know there's even a chance that some of the kittens will have the same colour furs as I have, if not they'll all have the hidden ability to produce sorrel furs on their own babies when they are grown up. This means that my Niece will be able to produce purrty sorrel furs on her babies when she's old enough to be a Momma Cat, if My Mummy takes her to visit a stud who has this hidden ability too, or who has sorrel furs in the first place... So I've been thinking of all the cute little "mini me's" that might be born here sometime in the future! :)

My next line of thought was about My Marie getting a Blurpy sister very shortly. I'm mega excited about this as My Mummy has known My Marie's Mom for 3 or more years now and she's told me that she's purtty sure that this little Blurpy is going to be one of the best loved Blurpies ever (well as well as D'Boy (even if he's a mega big Blurpy now), Kimo & Sabo's little Blurpy and TT's little Blurpy that she watches from over the Bridge and left with Jake the woofie, Truder, Molly and Shadow to look after), all of you who know me will know I'm all for love! :)

Talking of love, I had lots of it last night with My Mummy and Daddy too! So much so in fact that I came back for seconds around 4am thinking I was onto a good thing, only to get some very mixed reactions as I burrowed my way down the bed and stuck my then cold nose onto Daddy's leg... I see he still requires a little fine tuning on the training front! ;) My Mummy however mumbled something sleepily and put her arm around me for a good long cuddle session that was only upset by the rotten alarm going off and Mummy realizing that she didn't hear D'Boy's alarm go off too. It seems she had to make sure he woke up and got to school on time, so I had to give up my snuggles rights and let her get on with the day. Though I got a little snuggle from D'Boy before he left for school to help make up for it! :)

Finally my thoughts turn to Calgary where Grammy has started just her Radiotherapy and where my beloved Marie lives. She is the only ladycat for me! :) Marie my furever Valentine... :) Oh and yesterday my half-sister (who had 6 kittens last week) Noodle's housemate Indie gave birth to 4 beautiful blue Aby kittens and today is My Mummy's Baby Brother's Birthday today and on Saturday it's Daddy's Mummy's Birthday, so this is a lovely time of year!

PS: I gather Marie's Mommy is in hospital being purrsuaded to give birth right now!!!!!

Belated Mancat Monday! ;)

Oh well I was too busy to get to my blog yesterday and with the kittens getting so big Isis has given up her "Titty Tuesday" post, so I'm finally getting to my Mancat thoughts today... So I guess my first thought is; real mancats put off today what could possibly be done tomorrow if they can't be bothered to drag their furry butts out of bed! ;)

It was a good weekend though as Tigmut'hep spent most of it sleeping off the effects of too much catnip at Karl & Ruis's wedding reception! Added to that Dad's away and so I got extra Mummy snuggle time! :) She and D'boy had a number of DVD's to watch and so all us cats piled onto their laps and curled up to watch them. The thing is I gather 4 kittens on one 11 yr old's lap makes for one very hot child, so he had to have a shower before going to bed as he felt all hot and horrid! Not that I can understand why feeling hot should have anything to do with feeling horrid... ;) I think that when Tigs joined in on his lap with the kittens was the exact point at which he reached critical mass and started his nuclear meltdown below his lap blanket! I on the other paw had Mummy pretty much all to myself, although Isis was snuggled up behind Mummy's head! :)

On Sunday Mummy roasted me a chicken! :) It was very tasty and being a good cat I shared MY Chicken with all the other cats here as well as they kittens who made little piggy noises just like Isis does when they ate it! ;) It seems that it must have smelt very yummy as Mummy and D'boy had some of MY Chicken too with some vegetables and roast potatoes, but being a good cat I didn't mind too much as I got 2 large servings of chicken and so slept very soundly on Sunday night. You know I have the bestest dreams when I have a belly full of chicken! :)

Yesterday Mummy helped D'boy get himself ready for back to school today and in the evening we had our kitty sitter Unca' Pete visit us! :) He bought us gifts of kitty milk and nice smells on his trousers, as well as a good lap for the kittens to have a nap on... It seems he likes a lap full of kittens even more than D'boy does! ;)

So after a long weekend of chicken and snuggles D'boy's gone back to school, although I hear that My Mummy and Dad have to take him to his secondary school tomorrow at lunchtime for an interview or something, so I'll have all the family home for a quick lunch before taking D'boy back to school I hope! :) I think I'm actually missing Dad while he's been away... Just promise not to tell him that I love him, ok?! My Mummy can't manage to fuss my back and give me belly rubs in bed at the same time with out Dad and I do so love my combi fussing that I can't wait for him to get home tonight! :) I've saved up lots of furs to apply to his PJ's and an all excited about sniffing his trousers to see what he's been doing... Oh and I hear he may be bringing home a BIG bit of willow tree for the cat run so we can have a tree to climb in it!!!! Oh boy am I going to enjoy that! :) You see with the levels of catnip that Tigmut'hep takes he can't even climb the wire in the run, so I bet he'll make a real mess of tree climbing and I wanna watch it and then show off my skills! ;) Oh yer there's nothing quite a mancat showing off his prowess! :) Talking of a need to show off my mancatly prowess and all that, it's wonderful to have My Marie back after 6 whole weeks away...

Mancat Monday

My Mummy and her human family ran away from home twice over the weekend, on Saturday they came home smelling really interesting though and carrying lots of new cat toys! So I guess forgiveness is granted... ;) It seems they attended the Abyssinian Cat Association's 22nd Annual Cat Show, which is why they smelt so darn interesting! They saw my half-sister Ch. Mikkar Little Mynx there (she's Isis sister and litter mate) as well as Isis (and Mynx) little half-brother Mikkar Ashanti Warrior. He did very well, earning himself a First in the male kitten class, as well as the Best of Breed for Aby kitten and Best in Show too! :) So to celebrate My Mummy bought us some of our fave Applaws chicken cat food, the kittens got some of their kitten food too, which they loved as much as we love our chicken! :)

On Sunday the excuse for them all running away from home again, was that of a family christening to attend... At least they came back home by lunchtime on Sunday! ;) Well I do so hate missing the chance of asking for a midday treat... :)

Today they slept in a whole 20 mins late! :( This meant I was nearly dying of starvation by the time they awoke and got around to feeding me! The kittens had also escaped and come down ready for their breakfast, so Isis and I decided to jump all over their bed and get them moving fast before we became too weak with starvation... My Mummy made me a yummy breakfast and fed the kittens too before she even had her usual mug of tea! I think this was to show her repentance for making us suffer so badly... Though this didn't stop Tigmut'hep from wailing at the top of his lungs about the mistreatment he had suffered!

It seems tonight the family are having pizza and then My Mummy's promised that we can all play with the new toys as long as we agree to play nice with the kittens too! :) I can't wait to bash the heck out of the new furry puff wand for starters, then the leather thong tipped fishing rod will be my next victim I think, or maybe the pig pink eared furry rat?! So many toys, so little time... Then I shall have a big, huge, yummy dinner and crawl into bed with My Mummy for a fussing in her new bed cover! :) The only thing is My Marie's purrty white furs will show up on this far more than they did on the old one... I think her regular teleporting over here for a snuggle on My Mummy's bed might have to change to a snuggle on the sofa in the office! ;)

Finking Friday!

Well I've had lots to fink about this week... From how to keep My Mummy away from my infectious Dad, sadly this didn't work well enough and I've been left to nurse My Mummy now that Dad's fit for work again! Oh and I've gotta nurse d'boy too as he's sick too... :( Now iffen they'd got their shots at the vets like I did late last year, I'm sure they'd have been fine! ;)

I've also been finking about being related to famous movie star cats! Does this mean My Marie will desire me even more? Mmmm... I fink I might like finding out! ;)

Then I did some finking about being an Uncle this time next week, if not then, it won't be much longer! :) Isis has a really "Wide Load" now and it's funny watching her belly move on it's own... First there is a lump in one place, then it migrates! I've therefore been finking what it must feel like to have your very own belly "possessed", like in Torchwood the other week!

Finking of Torchwood, It would be nice if My Mummy would pay me more attention when watching it... I mean I'm much better looking than John Barrowman and I do come from movie star stock! ;)

Super Sunday!

Well My Mummy had a lady over to visit us yesterday and that was nice as she kept saying I was beautiful and so was Isis! :) I do so like it when intelligent humans visit, you know the sort that see just how beautiful you really are... I have no interest in non-cat people, I'm sure there's something not quite right about them... ;)

Mummy abandoned us again to go to a feline genetics lecture last night... But she made up forMy Mummy then abandoned us all for a squillion and 5 hrs to go see a cat show locally... Though I'm not complaining cause she came home with a Zoom Groom! :) Isis and I now know the ecstasy those little rubbery fingers cause, you bet we'll be asking for more! ;) Though My this by having a long fussing session with me in bed both last night and this morning! ;)

I've not let My Mummy out of my sight all day, so she can't sneak off again! ;) What's even better is I hear she's cooking chicken tonight, so I shall be keeping an even closer eye on her then... Well a chicken lovers like myself has to think of his belly at certain times! ;)

The thing that really made my day today was getting this award from TT:
Firstly, I'd like to pass this award on to My Marie, cause she inspires much love and a good number of urges... ;)

Secondly, I'd like to pass it on to Skeezix as he was not only very brave in plucking up the courage to ask Daisy to go steady last week, but he makes Mancats everywhere less shy about talking about their urges... ;)

Lastly I'd like to pass it to the wonderful, one and only Miss Peach! Her zest for life as well as her love and kindness have touched so many hearts... Long may she continue doing so! :)

Finking Friday...

Well other than finking about my love Marie and how much I've been missing her thanks to her Mom having to work more hours each week, I've been finking about writing to Marie's Mom's Boss and getting him straight on a few things! I mean the man's messing with my love life, not to mention My Marie's need to blog and talk to other kitties, or her need for her Mom's lap to be home for snuggling duties... So I'z been drafting a letter, so far this is what I've got:

To: The Bad Man who makes My Marie's Mom work too much! (This address is bound to find the right man after all!)

Dear Mr. Bad Man;

Do you not realize what your forcing My Marie's Mom to work so much is doing to my love life?! I'z a very romantic mancat and need to tell My Marie how much I loves her on a regular basis, your added workload for Marie's Mom is playing havoc with my urges too! I mean, how's you like thwarted urges? I know a number of important and influential mancats who're bound to have sympathy over my thwarted urges, take Skeezix for instance... He's practically a professional fashion designer and he has incredible urges for his ladycat, I bet iffen Daisy cat's Mom had to work as many hours as My Marie's Mom is having, to thanks to you, Skeezix would find himself incapable of functioning properly and Mr TF would have to spend all his time helping him relieve his eer tension! ;)

So I implore you to refink your current staffing situation! Get My Marie's Mom an assistant and put her back to regular working hours, in fact why not cut them a bit so as to make sure I get the attentions I so desperately need!? Oh and while you're at it I fink My Marie's Mom could do with a big fat pay rise, to help fund my beloveds need for the best forms of stinky goodness out there. This will also help pay for her to visit me more often and vice versa!

I fink that will do for now, but iffen I can fink of anything else you should be doing to make My Marie's Mom's life that bit easier, I shall not hesitate to write and make my demands clear!

Yes, I fink that'll do it and iffen he doesn't do all I require I fink I shall just have to call in a favour from all the cats I know in Calgary! I'm sure they can stalk him and make him think twice about not doing what I have so politely asked for in my letter... ;)

Thoughts of Love on Thursday...

Well since I'z been missing My Marie blogging 'cause her Mom's got lotsa work to do, I decided to make a new Marie Picture for my blog sidebar... One that not only shows off her gorgeous eyes, but looks nice with the colours I picked for my page too! :) I so hope she likes the results...

Here's it all biggified... Just look at those lovely eyes! :)

Finking Friday...

Well mostly I'z been finking of love and snoopervising this week... The love bit as ever is wonderful with My Marie, 'cause she's just the most purrfect ladycat in the whole world! :) When I can't be with her I gaze lovingly at her photo on the wall in My Mummy's office...

The snoopervision however has been hard work... Dad's doing well I guess, but the whole house smells of paint and he nearly bopped My Mummy on the head with the stepladder! In fact he's a ruddy danger with a stepladder... I was starting to fink we'd have to call the fire brigade to come rescue him from it at one point - now wouldn't that have caused a laugh?! A cat calling to get his Dad down from a ladder... *giggle* I fink Dad would have been teased a lot iffen I'd had to do that! ;) But I fink he's done with that bit and is now onto the really smelly paint that makes your furs stick to it... I fink I'll keep clear of the work site for a bit as I like my furs just the colour they are at present! ;) At least Dad can do this bit of the job from the ground and not halfway in the air on a ladder! :)

I fink once it's all painted that I'll have to snoopervise Dad putting in a new lounge door, the new doors have windows in them and are made of oak that smells nice and is sure to make a great scratching post iffen My Mummy ever forgets to keep us well supplied with scratch mats and posts! ;) Though I have a personal preference for scratching at the carpeting... :)

Now I fink I'll go see what my sister Isis is up to, she's been all soppy since she gotted home from her date with Napoleon last night... She's been sitting in front of the mirror gazing at herself and her new diamonds! I fink she may be getting a little vain as well as rugby ball shaped! ;)

Finking Friday...

Well it's been a good week for finking round here! What with making a Valentines for My Marie and hearing about the freezing cold weather they're having in Calgary at this moment - well as you might be able to guess, I'z been thinking a lot about My Marie and snuggling in warm places! ;)

My Grandpur in Calgary finally gotted his 80th Birthday present, and there'd been me finking that the postlady must have eaten it or losted it... :( But finally it arrived and he loved what we gotted him! :) He's hadded a rotten, bad, yucky, stinking cold from the deepest depths of somewhere nasty all over KissMouse and New Years, so My Mummy was very glad to hear he's starting to improve... She's been worrying herself half daft! Dad says that's easy for her to do for some reason I can't quite make out, but he always giggles when he says it so I fink he's being naughty! ;)

It's been a little cold here for the past few nights, so I finked it was better to snuggle under the blankets with My Mummy and Dad! Oh boy was I right, it was so toasty and warm there - which of course made me fink more about My Marie freezing her beautiful little paws off in Canada... For some reason when I finked about her as I slept, I'z got even warmer! By morning My Mummy said I was like a little red hot inferno - Oh yes a red hot inferno of love! ;)

The other thing I'z gotta fink about and be very thankful for is my good friends at Chat Aux Sphynx, Dragonheart and his cute little brother Merlin gave me this lovely award! :)

I'd like to take this opportunity to pass it on to the prettiest little white kitty ever created, My Marie! :) In addition to My Marie, I'd like to pass it along to that evil genius, the only cat I know with his very own Island - HRH Yao-Lin. How I got my Real Name: I got the Myleenus part of my name, because of the people who bred me, the Champion bit I earned at cat shows, lastly the Sir Lynxalot bit is to reflect my father's name LordoftheLynx. The Lynx part of our name is due to the fact that as a family we have excellent looking ear tufts! This is why my 'sis is really called Ladylynx - her ear tufts are a whole 1/4" long! :)

Well now I'z finished being thankful I'z can get back to the thumpin'! ;) I'z just finished a really good game of thump and run with Tigmut'hep and Isis! :) Though My Mummy has taken the time to point out the fact I'z not supposed to bop my 'sis too hard on account of her peculating kittens... So I'z tolded My Mummy that I'z getting in all the bopping I'z going to want to do for a bit before Isis starts looking all lumpy and bumpy and full of kittens! Apparently that's not what My Mummy meant for me to do, so I'z just going to have to settle for bopping Tigmut'hep senseless - not that he's gotted much sense to start with! ;)

Apparently I'z also turning into an expert cover crawler and bed squirmer! It's good to know as I'z take pride in being able to wriggle my way between My Mummy and Dad at about 6am for a good hour or so's snuggle and warm up... In recent weeks I'z found I can dig my way beneath the covers and wriggle and head butt My Mummy just right to make her start cuddling me, but not fully wake up! Dis I might add is a very valuable life skill that I feel as a good Uncle I'z gotta teach all d'kittens in good time... ;)

Well I'z just gotta say I'z hope everykitty has a wonderful 2008! :) Here we'z lookin' forward to Isis being a momma cat and getting to play with d'kittens etc. That and d'boy going up to senior school in September... I'z now off to warm Dad up and snuggle with My Mummy as Dad's gotted himself a cold! :( My Mummy says a glass or two of bubbly will help him feel better or was that feel less... I'z know it was one of dos feelin's anyway!

So I shall snort d'nip and fink of all my kitty friends far and wide (yes dat's you Tigmut'hep!), especially of My Marie who sended me a calender of her and her feline family to gaze at lovingly all year long... :)

Terrific Tuesday!

Oh what a great start to the day, d'post lady arrived with not just one, but 2 fings in the mail for us! :) First of all we'z saw d'card that Skeezix sented us from Ireland, we'z all haded a bit of a sniff and we'z fink we can smell some of dat Mother's Milk he spent his whole trip drinkin'... ;)

Then I noticed d'small of purrfect whitester girlycat! Yes, d'photo card from My Marie had arrived too! :) Oh boy was I happy... I'z even showed Isis d'purrty photo of My Marie with Casey and Donny, and she finked that My Marie was very purrty too once she worked out what side of the card to look at! ;) I know sometimes my 'sis is very silly, but I'z love her all d'same... :)

But I'z still managed to have a nice snuggle with My Mummy in bed last night and I even got my cone off for a whole hour of fussing and bliss! :) I was a little grumpy when I'z found it had to go back on, but at least it had had a nice clean while it was off and I'z had had a nice rest from it and such a good fussin! :) Isis joined in the snuggling with My Mummy for a bit in the night, she's very fond of sleeping on My Mummy's toes and keepin' them warm... I'z got a good fussing from Dad when he joined us all in bed and another first thing this morning! :) It's so good to have well trained cat parents and I'z fink my lot are trained up to near purrfection! :)

Dis morning Tigmut'hep joined in the fussing and was in such a good mood that he was even feeling affectionate towards me! :) My Mummy loves to see it when we'z like that and he gave me lots of kisses on my head this morning, just so Mummy could see... While I appreciate the fact that he loves me in a brotherly and Mancatly fashion, I'z also fink he saves his outbursts of love for when My Mummy can see it, so she finks he's being nice and gives him extra treats and fuss! ;) But it seems Tigmut'hep is slowly becoming less of a Mr. Grumpypuss and feline household tyrant and more of a playful and loving feline family member - though neither Isis or I'z got any delusion of trying to be d'boss while he's around! ;)
