Wednesday Wonderings...

Well after the sad news yesterday, I've done a lot of wondering about stuff... Mostly I've thought about how lucky I am to be here with My Mummy and how sad it is for my former owners to have lost GC Nile Golden Eye at such a young age! He was my replacement as their second Stud cat, when I told them (in no uncertain terms) that I needed a proper home and a real Mummy... ;)

My Mummy phoned Silversmoke last night and they were so pleased that she'd taken the time to let them know that she was thinking of them at this time... They are still in shock, especially the food lady there as she had been out watching Goldie play at 1pm and had returned just a few hours later to bring him is dinner - this is when she found him already dead, but not long gone... She is a very loving Food Lady, so she's currently a very sad one. It seems that Goldie has left a son behind who they hope to be able to carry on his line with as a stud, he also left a daughter who's a queen and who'll hopefully have a litter of kittens later this year - giving them another chance to get a stud boy with some of his characteristics. The autopsy revealed nothing, but lab results are still being waited on before they can be sure it was just a fluke of nature... Until then they won't breed any of his line.

The Food Lady at Silversmoke is however very, very pleased to hear that Isis is doing so well with Dan's kittens! :) She too is looking forward to seeing the kitten photos...!

Finking Friday...

Well it's my first Finking Friday of 2008, Isis is away making ickle baby kittens and I'z just gotted out of my warm patch in d'bed between My Mummy and Dad, under the red chenille blanket with My Mummy's arm around me for security and added warmth... I'z fink I'z a pretty lucky cat on the whole! :) Though I'z missing d'sis a lot... My ears are even starting to feel like they need a clean! ;)

I'z fink My Mummy and Dad might be able to go and collect Isis sometime over the weekend, 'cause My Mummy gotted the phone call she's been waiting for from d'nice people at Silversmoke Abyssinians and they'z tolded My Mummy that 'sis has been doing all she needs to do with Dan to come home with a nice big belly full of kittens! :)

My Mummy's tolded me that she's got to do some shopping for kitty stuff later today and I'z fink she knows I's after a big comfy snuggle spot for d'sofa like she used the mattress from our luxury carrier for over KissMouse while d'rest of it was folded up and in d'loft. You'z see I'z not sure iffen I'll get to sleep with My Mummy for a few nights when d'kittens is due and just arrived so I'z need to make previsions for d'future! :) It's vitally important that I'z get a soft warm patch to sleep in iffen I can't have My Mummy every night... She's also gotted to look at some big collapsible pet crates that will do nicely for an enclosed kitten playpen - when they'z big enough for one of those My Mummy will give dem our old igloo beds for sleepin' in, though I'z hear she wants to wash of all the lovely smells and furs first! Surely dat's not natural...

Oh well I'z fink it's time I demanded a breakfast and gotted Tigmut'hep to wake d'boy up! ;)

Wanton Wednesday...

Well what a Wednesday I'z had! First of all My Mummy was running round the house like a nutter getting bits of paper together, packing a picnic for her and d'boy and getting me and Isis into d'big huge luxury cat carrier...

First of all she droved us to Sally vet and I'z gotted a little worried for a moment that I was going to have a shot of something yucky, but all Sally vet did was tell me how lovely I was looking! :) She's right about that you'z know! ;) She tooked Isis off for a moment and stole just a little bit of her bloods to do a "Snap" FIV and FeLV test to make sure Isis was fit and healthy to be a Momma cat. She then wrote My Mummy a little official letter to tell her that she was and we'z all headed off to Kent where Silversmoke Abyssinians are located. My Mummy said it was good on the road as it was pretty much clear all the way and only took us a little more than 1 1/2 hrs to get there...

When we gotted there My Mummy carried us all into d'house in d'carrier, I remembered d'smell of d'house as I lived there for about 2 yrs, when I was a Stud cat myself. I'd talked to Isis on d'car trip and explained about how she had to act iffen she wanted a nice belly full of kittens and so when we arrived she wasn't worried. D'lady and man who used to own me haded a good look at Isis and with My Mummy decided they'd see how she liked Grand Champion Silversmoke Dan Dare for her first time. My Mummy, d'lady and d'boy tooked Isis down to see Dan in his Stud house and putted her in d'queens house that's attached to it, so they could talk for a bit and see how they liked each other! Well Dan tolded Isis she was d'most beautiful Aby girl he'd ever seen and she tolded him nice stuff too (but that she could never love him totally as she had her heart set on Napoleon) this didn't bother Dan at all, so after only about 1/2 hr My Mummy, d'lady and d'boy went back to the Stud house and opened the connecting doors and made sure that they still liked each other now that they could touch each other... My Mummy tolded me she was a little nervous for a moment, but Isis was not and carried on talking nice to Dan and so everyone haded a cup of tea and a biscuit and talked about cats and I'z gotted fussed and tolded I'z still very beautiful and how they was so happy to see me loving My Mummy so very much! :) Once My Mummy and d'lady and man were happy that Isis and Dan were getting on well together My Mummy putted me back in d'car with d'boy and all the paperworks she's haded to drag along and we'z drove home... Again d'roads were good and it didn't take much over 1 1/2 hrs, but My Mummy said she was so pleased to get it all done today as they are forecasting snow in parts of the UK tomorrow and Kent is likely to be hit badly! :( Even though My Mummy's well used to driving on snow she says most drivers in the UK aren't and the roads are therefore not that safe in snowy conditions... Hopefully if it does snow it'll have melted again before she goes to collect Isis! :) I'z don't fink I'll go along for dat trip as Isis is going to smell like strange Mancat and might be a little moody, so My Mummy will give her a good clean with a dry bath cloth before they leave and make sure either d'boy or Dad are with her so someone can keep Isis company...

In d'meantime Tigmut'hep and I'z going to make the most of the peace and quiet of not having a wanton girlycat in d'house with us! ;) Oh and make sure I'z get lotsa snuggle time with My Mummy too... :)

Mancat Monday...

Now d'question is should it be Mancat Monday or Madcat Monday?! You'z see my 'sis is callin' and driving me nuts with her asking me iffen she's beautiful all the time! My Mummy's had a lovely talk to the breeders who own the Stud she wants to take her to and it seems there's a chance she could go visit with either of their Stud cats, my old buddy Dan or their new Australian boy Goldie. So not only is Isis very noisy and excitable at d'moment, but so is My Mummy! Can't a Mancat get some peace round here?! Oh well iffen I can't here I'll just have to teleport over to My Marie's and spend some time snuggling with her... :)

Right now I'z not even bothered dat Mummy's not finished putting up the decorations here, I'z just wanna bit of peace and quiet... Oh goodness I'z starting to sound like my housemate Tigmut'hep - I'z not turning into Mr Grumpypuss honest... I'z just need about 48 hrs sleep and some quiet! ;)

But I'z happy to hear dat My Mummy and family are all going to be here for Kissmouse and dat Dad's Mummy's comin' to visit! :)

Twice as good Tuesday - My 2nd Gotcha Day!

Well other than still having to have 3 drops a day put into my eye and blundering around with a conehead on, I'z must say that this is a wonderful 2nd Gotcha Day! :)

I'z had a yummy breakfast with extra gravy for a start, along with some nice fussing from My Mummy. She then phoned the breeders she got me from and gave them an update on me and gotted to tell them that Isis is "calling" now and should be ready to visit Grand Champion Silversmoke Dan Dare early in the New Year. Since she travels better with me in with her for company, Mummy's checked to see if I could come along too for a visit and the good news is I can! :) Iffen I'z really lucky I can even have a chicken feather from one of the chickens they have there, I'z misses lookin' at those chickens all day! Though after a while looking at them did make me hungry - no wonder I have such strong chicken cravings at times! ;)

With Isis "calling" I'z busy dealing with her being a silly flirty girl, but it's kind of fun too 'cause she's being very playful and keeps hiding under the blankie on d'sofa bed in My Mummy's office. Dis is great 'cause I can pounce her and chatter lots! :) Now iffen I'z could only get d'conehead off I could have a really good game! :) Tigs has been playing with us too, and Isis has even been sharing her sisal string from Canada with us! Though with dis conehead on I can't get into her ickle cardboard box and Tig's bum is too big, so I guess for now it's just her box... ;)

Even though I didn't get any chicken feathers I did get a nice big magic pigeon feather from Gerty d'racing pigeon! :) She often sheds magic feathers for us and My Mummy brings them home for me from Dad's Mum's house where Gerty lives... :)

I'z also gotted a pompom toy dat My Mummy's going to attach to our big cat fishing rod as soon as I'z gotten my conehead off and can play properly! :) I'z loves pompoms and other soft toys bestest!

Finally and bestest of all I'z getting fresh cooked chicken for my dinner tonight thanks to My Mummy! :) I'z can almost taste it already and it's going to be very yummy indeed, not that it'll last long round me! ;)
